Hi Folks,
After the game on Saturday, which was a wake-up call for the bokke, some ex Omunders got together around a braai and later under the lappa had a very pleasant night listening to music, chatting and downing some good reb wine.
See below, Diana Rud (nee Boehme), Stephen Rud, behind her, me in the red, Debby my wife, Penny Worht and David Eyre infront.
Cheers

I do believe the camera adds kilo's. I may be as Red Wined as I look. :-[Nice to see Penny again, pity Peter duToit had to go to RUGBY.
looks like you all had fun. You are all looking very well.
Nce to see Penny aswell,I need to sit down and do some writing. Have quite a few people to reply to.
Barbara
Do I detect a rosy glow on the faces or were they all just doing to much wining ?
Oh good grief people - Richard has a really crap camera!!! We are not that big!!!! We had a really great time - very much more subdued than we would have been a few years ago but yes ... thanks to David Eyre - the wine flowed freely but NOT the bottles marked "Do Not Touch".
I learnt a few things about our time in O'mund - for instance the abatoir also had a very "exclusive" wors known as the "Rudzewurts" - more like a polony -that one could only find at certain times of the month and never reached the butchery - damn cheek!
Both Debbie & Diana have not changed at all - Diana still has a wicked sense of humour and Debbie could not be more laid back. The husbands look good because the wives are good! You all noticed that David's wife was nowhere to be seen - she left us to handle him!
Sue - I received a private e-mail from you but no surname - is this Brownless?
Cheers
Thats it Penny, a real crappy camera probably bought it at the R10.00 shop. I also heard something about this Rudzewurts,I believe its very hard to come by now days. Well Sandy if you had to entertain our David you'd also be all wined out and glowing. We love you David :-*
Looks like you all had a lekker time hey. one thing is for sure, omunders know how to enjoy themselves. Something I notice tho why do we seem to get older and a bit b.g.er!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha
Yvette ;D :o
Hi Penny, yes it was me,
Sue Ashton (Brownless)
Hey you never use to do too badly ourself. I see the wine is still flowing.
Myself I think I had to much of a good thing in those days and am almost T Total now.
How is Viv will you please give her my love
Sue
Where's the Bratwurst pics?
I only got my invite this morning, mmmh!
;)
Hi Michael,
Not a German Holiday - but a early "National Braai Day" celebration. ;D
Cheers
Richard
Hi Michael
Sorry pushed the wrong button!!!!!!!!!
You should be looking for that elusive Rudzewurst Michael! I'm sure someone has a photograph somewhere???
Indeed,Indeed Penny I have found its only readily available December through to February :-X
here's me and Sandy last year at the end of our mini reunion in Cape Town, dont know who was holding who up....cant believe not 1 of us took a camera....so the few pics i do have of that night are from my phone.....till the battery went .....
Hey guys and gals . . . nice party!!
I'm sorry I missed it - it would have been good to see you all again. However, I must agree that the camera must have been held upside down or something to make it look like everyone (except David, the bastard!!) had expanded slightly . . . don't feel bad, I would have made you lot look like twiggy if I hade been there!!
Best wishes to you all.
Keith.
Keith I think it was that new wide angle lense Richard just got,he doesn't quite know how to work it.Hey Penny don't forget our MEDIEVEL FUNDRAISER we having, will contact you soon. To the rest of you guys in Cape Town, Richard,Debbie and I are holding this event for funds for mentally challenged children. We have a few ex-oranjemunders joining us,so if you wish to join the festivities, you most welcome to contact one of us. A nice opportunity for us to get to get together while supporting a worthy cause.
Hi Folks,
As Diana mentioned that we are having a fund raiser for mentally challenged children next month at Bloemendal.
Debby and I are parents of Bradley who is down syndrome. We and 3 other parents started Seal (Specialised Education And Learning) College 9 years ago in the Milnerton / Table View area. We do not receive any goverment support and suvive purely on fund raising for the day to day running of the school and are now starting a sheltered workshop for the older children.
Our school is in dire need for funds.
We would greatly appreciate it if any ex Oranjemunders in the Cape Town are could support our Miedievel (Oct 2007) and Golf Day (Nov 2007) fund raisers.
I have attached a photograph of our children - Brad me lad is sitting on the grass - and the Golf Day invite.
Kind regards
Richard
Richard,
Could you let us have the exact dates of both events? This is an outstanding cause! I may not be in Cape Town but if not how about posting or emailing bank details so that we can at least donate a wee something?
Cherry
Debby and Richard,
Well done on keeping SEAL college going. Saw the insert on SABC2! Very impressive. You guys are amazing. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, very proud of you. Diana, dont let them overwork you ;D
