At Lodge this evening, somebody wanted to know if anyone remembered a Paul Smith that lived in Omund back in the late 70's and went to school at Centaurus in Windhoek....
Anyone know anything?

I remember Paul Smith, he was in Oranjemund during the early 80's and unfortunately died there. I am not too sure of the exact story but there were rumours of suicide. I do know that there was a gun involved. Accident / suicide?

Paul was the son/stepson of Muriel & John Gallagher and he was found with gunshot wounds on a Christmas Day afternoon in the early eighties. The four families of the Gallaghers, Fields, Mastertons and Vodens were celebrating Christmas Day at the Mastertons house when it was discovered that Paul had attempted to take his life, where he passed away during the evening in hospital.
