Facebook will NEVER be able to kill this site!  I am on FB too, but spend less time on it than on OMD online.  I also dont use any of their "applications" and other foefies.
OMD online still rules the roost!!!!

I hardly use facebook, just to "market" this site and find old friends.... it's all exciting when you first reconnect, but after a month or two... it all fades away..

Don't use face book.......... I think at my age  ape      just navigating the Internet and comprehending all the new fangled electronic gizmo's is quite a challenge, from digital cameras 'etc'............................I think anything that's new (face book) that comes along the young will always say its COOL!!!!!!!!....... and as for this site O/M online look at the number of members the site has and how many actually make a post..... FB is too open, too many folk post crap on your page, and who the hell cares what someone thinks of your posting or comments. OMD online is there for you to read long after some other tree-dweller has forgotten what he got his nuts in a twist about...

FB is definitely a distraction for the younger generation, but then again their attention span is only about as long as a weak soapy on the box.

The older more intent folk will take time to read through older posts and cross reference posts and tales.

With age comes wisdom... well I hope so!
