Come on guys. Where are you all? Just because Mike has abandonned us to go and braai at his in-laws doesn't mean that we can't keep this site going during his absence. So get typing and share your plans for the weekend. I'm planning on getting some rest from all the projects that are keeping me up all night. Planning a wedding, working my notice period before starting a new job in Abu Dhabi, finding accommodation in Abu Dhabi so that we can move ... can't believe everything that needs to be done. Also can't believe how much easier it is to divorce in this country than to get married. Maybe I should consider living in sin for the rest of my days.
Well Patricia, looks like we do need Mike A. Poor Mike S struggled to write "JAN" so early in the morning... probably didn't have his cup of coffee yet, he-he...
My weekend - studying, studying, studying!!! My dispensing and compounding exams now on the 10th June, and have a lot of studying to do.... also a "profile of evidence" that has to be handed in - a lot of paperwork, tasks, case studies, etc to be finished. All this while trying to manage the herbs on the plot, and running the practice... I need more hands (my own that is, for I cant afford staff at this early stage!!!!).
Oh, and I will definitely be taking a break to watch the two Super14 rugby semi-finals!!!
Good luck for Monday Bertie. I'll send you as many positive vibes as I can. As for the rugby, definately can't miss the semis. Need to see whether the final will be in Newlands or Soweto land ...
Hi Patricia
Are you coming to SA for your honeymoon? Giving the Erinville Reunion some thought.... Still not sure what to do.
Good luck with the planning. Have a good weekend. I intend doing nothing more stressful than watching the kids study.
Cheers

Hi Janet. No honeymoon in SA. We've agreed that any trip to SA or France would not be a honeymoon, as it is 'Home'. So the honeymoon has to be somewhere else. But we're not planning on doing it straight after the wedding as we'll be off to France for Xmas and New Year (and that won't be our honeymoon, to be clear ...). So I think we'll do something in Feb or March next year. maybe the Maldives or some other dream place where we can go diving.
Good luck with the study watch. Gosh, I'm so glad that I've passed all that. Would hate to go through it again. Don't know why Bertie is doing that to himself???
Patricia, not really because I like studying... this one's because I want to be ahead of the law... Within the next few years, we MIGHT be forced to apply for a dispensing license to practice as phytotherapists - legally. There's new laws in the pipeline regarding natural medicine and allied health professions. So while the compounding and dispensing license course is available, I decided to do it so long, it already costs R2600, so just imagine what it would cost 5 years from now!!!! There's 7 of us in the western cape who will be writing the exam on 10 June, and some up north. We decided to go ahead and do it anyway, even though they told us just the other day that we will not be forced to apply for the license ..... yet....
I not sure what I'll be doing this weekend, it all depends on what Mike A, the man in question, will be doing. Is he staying to watch the rugby here in G Bay or will he be leaving early on Saturday morning to get home to O'mund in time to watch it there, that is the question.
So Patricia, at least you can plan your weekend. Please spare a kind thought for us as we will have to clean up the braai after he has gone braii
Plans for the weekennd?
SAturday making Boerewors. About time too. The braai and Champions League. Munich ist in the finals.
Sunday: Braai.... What else. We'll be getting some sunshine at last.
@Patricia, Mike S is doing a fine job of caretaker, You should go to Bora Bora for your honeymoon..... and Yep! It looks like we will be departing early Saturday back to Omund......... I have finished setting fire to all fatrher in laws wood..... image201
Aah, have a job for the weekend. OT becoming a scarsity, so if you get an opportunity... be grateful.
After job, take all the jacks for a walk in the desert.
Oh that son in law of mine, arrived home from the quiz night to find he burnt all of the wood I brought from Flip and I was trying not to use toooooo much of it either. The wood down here isn't so good
And here is proof that his braaing techniques are not that strong, he would rather read the local paper
He's not reading, he's just looking at the pictures ...
Carefull Patricia. Mike might just pop in the Topic....
ape
That's what I thought Patrica but I didn't want to upset him toooooooo much................ image201
Zorro needs Mike
It looks like Michael is enjoying his holiday with you Mike...................pity it has to end... in the posts I know they have left G/B to return to O/M so hopefully we shall see him back soon...... image16 drive safe Michael................................................................ image04
Back in one piece, loved the driving in the rain, but although use to it, the traffic irks, everyone else in the Cape except for ex Oranjemunders drive like mampara's
The boss is back in town....
And I'm waiting for him to return to G Bay to tidy up and put the braai back where it belongs.............. image21
@Mike V, You're hopeful... he'll probably delay his next visit until he reads the "you took so long to return, I moved it myself to mow the grass under the braai..." comment in the shout box...!
Inlaws or outlaws... you choose.
All's good though.
Andy D, you are sooooooo right about moving the braai, in fact I've moved it already. Don't worry, I'll get one back on him.. swink
True freinds!!
