Title: Town Pool Under The Weather!
Post by: Michael Alexander on May 27, 2010, 04:09:23 PM
I believe that the town Pool is half empty, holes are being dug around the area, heaters are being repaired and that crack on the shallow end is about to become a thing of the past....

Sigh! No Swimming for a month!

Big Mike, I stand to be corrected but I am sure there is a swimming pool not being used by one of our erstwhile big nobs, who is on " involuntary vacation". Check with him, I am sure he would not have a problem with you using his pool.Don't know if he has a shadow or two, but if his shadows are like him, they would'nt mind you swimming in the dam. laughpoint

Hey, there's a river, a pink pan, and a sea - what you complaining about?

Bertie, if Mike A swam in the sea, he could be responsible a little tsunami on the west coast of Africa..................  image201

With more than 100 views of the topic, you seem to have quite a few "concerned" friends, Mike.  Now the question: Concerned about the pool, or your disappointment with the pool?

Started to Swim again this morning after a 3 month winter break, was pleasantly surprised to see the painting and repair work on the go at this historical establishment.......

Sources within the Aquatic industry informed me that the contractors were in town the weekend to look at the pool....... they will be back.....

Thumbs up to OTMCO for pushing this one!
bravo

Uncle Mike, what do you mean?  I have always been a good girl! sorriso2
and me having called you uncle baldey was all said with love.

We are all doing really good.  Kids are growing up too fast.  Enrico is going to year 2 next year and Handre to Kindy.  Two wonderful little boys with attitude.

Missing every one and everything though.  Trying to plan a visit next year.

How are you and aunty Jenny doing?  Please give her a big big hug from me. bighug

I know hoiw you meant it Cheleen, I'm only teasing.........

We are both well and enjoying living here in Gordons Bay but also like your Mum & Dad, missing our family but after the last few days of strong winds in Oranjemund, not missing the place at all.

So glad that you and the family have settled well in Oz and that the boys are doing well, especially Enrico with his sports and education.

Tried to go and swim this morning and was informed that the pool is now closed.... but Gee! a lot of workers scurrying all over the place, cementing, painting , gardening and there were chaps removing the tiles from the changing room...... a total revamp on the cards.... ain't this sweet to see....
