Met up with many former friends from O'mund at the half yearly Pensioner Reunion held at Helderberg Village in Somerset West today. There was one lady who lived in Oranjemund during the late forties but unfortunately didn't get her name but following are some of the people that attended.

Hello Mike .Les Duddy was my Boss when I worked in the Power Station. Where has the time gone.
Hi John321, I have never met Les before, but heard of him from the late Frank Quirk and Roy Fields, as I also worked in the Power Station, although by then it was only a standby station.
There wre two other families that I omitted from yesterday get together and they are Jimmy & Mrs Dankworth and Owen & Mrs Quantrell. I hope I haven't left anyone else off the list.........
I dont know those two families, but Frank and Roy worked in Power House the same time I was there. Have pics will post to Mike when I can. John Wilson.

No!!!... don't recognise any faces there, there again don't recognise my own face in the mirror.......... This old codger keeps staring out at me. image04
@Pam, my dad , Jock has not left town since he went town to attend the funeral of Bob Ferrie, three years ago...... he is content to sit in his castle on the east side of town, with a view of those two big sanddunes to the east..... his built in braai roaring away, with folk music blaring away in the background.......
He still has regular local visitors, like Tom Parkhill, Jimmy Jones and Gerald Hodgson......
Oh and once a week he makes a pilgrimage down to the SPar and annoys me for about two hours about the pricing on the shelf and his receipt not being the same..... Grrrrr!
