my dad asked me to find out if anybody can remember the parties they use to have at the diving club, he made mention of this one party where they created a floating dance floor ....needless to say people didnt always stay on to long , there was also so much sea food , i think it was the one party where there was a pile of crayfish and on top there was a monster of a crayfish that gilbert kermis caught
i remember those only too well - magic evenings. in any earlier posting on diving club & rec club parties, we were talking about them. that's when you found out your dad was "dancing denz" ;D (from the soccer club).
next to the soccer club, they were the best parties in town hey Denz?
everybody just used that floating dance floor as an excuse to land up in the pool - "i slipped/someone pushed me/it was rocking too much/etc". there was always more people in the pool than on the dance floor. i'm surprised no-one ever drowned being so wasted.
the guys really outdid themselves with all that seafood - there was literally a mountain of anything your heart desired.
