im puttin some photos on this page, one is my dad with ken symes, one is of a christening with Mavis Fields in the front , lillian smith, dot symes, doug barbara and bev coates, bill dot and bubbles abrahams...and others i did know the name of untill now ha ha......does anyone remember the abrahms family.......is anyone still in touch with any of them..........also mum and dad out an outing in the jeep 1964-66 these were taken. also my mum and dad at someones wedding...think it was lillian smiths....with dot and bill abrahams.

Hi Clive, Yes i Know your dad is den it even says it on the back of the photo and in the peter pan book they gave me for xmas in 66, and it was your mum and dad that got my parents to go to O/M after meeting them aboard ship on the way to cape town.....do you remember that......which brother are you youngest or oldest, We did have lots of old phots but over the years they have been lost, but will have to get all my slides transfered too.

The first photo I have no memory of, I recognise Mrs Field but the other people I can't remember. What was the occasion? Does anybody know?
The second photo I remember, we had great fun doing that show. Marie had her 21st while in Oklahoma, so that made me 19, just before I got married for the first time.
I would love to see any old photo's of my mom and dad if anybody has any. I know my dad would be thrilled to see them.

@ Alfred .. Uncle Les worked at the power station ... His wife auntie Renee used to work at the Butcher .... My dad and him were pals I attach a lodge picture with names ...
Les Head is still a paid up country member of the lodge, or at least he was about a year back, as he wrote us a letter complaining that he was no longer receiving any correspondences .....
The chap next to Keith Brooke on th epic is Norbert Gilbey, my dads neighbour in the early 70's at E5-1st ave...

No mimic panels now days all done on computers and PLC's, I remember now they where stripping the old machines from the power station when one of the old helpers mentioned his name "Les Head" we where talking about the old workers there, we had found a photo in the old tea room "Uncle Charlies" I will try and find it,scan and post it Jack Mc Bride was also on the pic

Jack Mc Bride must be about 70 now. He lost his son Leigh round about 2000, but I dont know why. I remember the Mc Brides well.
Mike in reply on my dad being tough and streetwise .. he was a paratrooper in India during the war .. never talked about his experiences as so many did .. most probably not too many god memories that were better buried and forgotten .. I scanned the story in from Eddie's book .. ( with permission ) some interesting reading on the old Omund in the early fifties ...
