This is so awesome when having a braai. 36_1_72
Take any old tin (clean ofcourse) pref coffee/milo (1Kg tins) not paint tins, unless you want to poison your guests...lol No1
Make a hole in the lid of the tin.
Put your potatoes with skin on in the tin (don't have to poke them with a fork)
Same with you onions (no peeling)
I would suggest that you put your garlic cloves(not pealed) in fiol.
Put the tin (don't add water or anything else in the tin) on hot coals occasionally turning...being careful it is hot hot hot.
They should take about an hour, or untill you smell the onions. The men loves this as it gives them more time around the fire... BierSuip
Enjoy with lekke braai vleis. You may leave any commets if you wish.

Mike, Oh goodness me NO NO NO No1, no aussie habits yet, might have picked up a bit of their acsent, but other than that we are still doing our Namibian 36_1_72 etc, talking afrikaans and being as loud as possible ha ha !!! My dad used to make the potatoes like that. When you see him again, ask him about it.
Oh, just to add, the aussies call our potjie a camp oven....must admit, the aussies we have had around for 36_1_72 really like it, and have asked us to please have more 36_1_72 braais so that they can join us again.
