I discovered this gem just recently in a very old recipe book. Try it you'll love it.
Wash and dry enough chicken breasts. Spread hot English mustard evenly and fairly thickly over the chicken pieces. Mix together 2 ml salt, 1 ml black pepper and 75 ml flour and toss the chicken pieces in this mix. Fry the pieces in 25 ml of oil till golden brown and place in a casserole dish. Fry 1 onion, finely chopped, 1 crushed garlic clove and 2 ml mixed herbs in 30 ml butter until soft. Add 300 ml fresh cream, heat through and season further if necessary. Pour over chicken, cover and bake at 180 C for 1 hour. Ryk en lekker. (M. Vockerodt)
