Title: Centurion Floods
Post by: Paul (Pepe) Freemantle on January 27, 2011, 11:53:56 AM
I thought I would post what the floods look like near our home in Centurion. Unfortunately it is pasted in a word document. This was taken yesterday afternoon 26th January 2011.

Good photo's Pepe. Is it the Hennops river that is in flood?

Yo Mike, yes that is the Hennops river and the worst I have seen it as I have been living there for just over 5 years now. All the water goes to Hartebeespoort dam.

Hi Pepe, I don't know the area but friends of ours (Heather & Bob Liddle) live in Centurion and we have passed the river before whilst staying with them. Also, whilst watching cricket I often hear that the bowler is bowling from the River Hennops end

Hi Mike, that's correct, the river runs passed Supersport Park and passes the Centurion mall and down through our suberb Hennopspark to the Hartebeespoort Dam.
