Brother of the Ghetto - long time no hear - good to have you back on board.  That dress was a favourite - I was looking after Allan & Dee Taylor's place one time and while playing frisbee with Buddy (their border collie) down at the beach, it got badly ripped so i decided to haul out Dee's sewing machine - I loved the material so much, couldn't stand the thought of not having it around anymore so I made it into a sling bag.....was quite impressed with the turnout.

That smile could tell a million stories  ;)

Do you remember the party where you covered the Anglia in crinkle paper of rusterfarian colours.
I drove you all back to town in third gear and only noticed it when we got there...haha

Greg, good to hear from you.  Don't get us started on that party.........we'd be here forever going thru the "remember this, remember that" about that night.  People spoke about that party for months/years......there were people there from out of town that we didn't even know, thanks to Kenny getting onto air and advertising our party to all listening inviting them all to pull in.........going home in the Rastabug, you still veered into the desert past the cops, they'd set up a roadblock at 5am to catch all the drunkards coming home from the riding club.......don't know who was more shocked, us in the backseat or the cops left eating your dust  :D I still have photos of us back at Kenny's single quarter room carrying on with the party - there's one of you feeling Gary Cowen's (a diver from McDougs) arse for the carkeys in his back pocket - he was passed out on the floor and we couldn't find the keys. I have an entire photo album dedicated to that night.  Billy Summers still made up the invites, just in case we needed to pull rank - we could say "right of admission reserved, check the ticket".

Would love to know if anybody else out there remembers that night?

Howzit Greg!

Whats up china! That was some party, that anglia could tell stories. I tell you Greg that night you drove just like Steve McQueen.
Talking about China, Delia what ever happened to your boss in O'mund those days.

Hey Greg, remember the Fondu party at Delia's house when we almost set the house alight.

Kenny, my cousin Brandon saw China quite a few years ago when he (Brandon) was working at a pub in Camps Bay.  I've heard since then he's living somewhere out Struisbaai way?

Was Greg there that night at the fondue?  I remember us almost setting the house alight - we put the oil on the stove to warm up and got so involved with tequila shots back in the lounge we forgot about it.  I know Gary Wilson was there - he still walked into the kitchen as someone lifted the pot off the stove still flaming and the handle broke off - as the pot was falling in mid air, he walked in and gave it one kick straight out the back door - if any soccer scout had been there, they would've signed him up immediately. Brilliant shot!

I know we had a chinese meal at my place once for "Lofty's farewell" with Barry Tilley, Dawn Gurnham, Rob Shraga, you, Lance & Annerita and there was lotsa tequila around - Lofty didn't even pitch but then again he didn't leave town either - was that the same night?

Annerita still told me when she woke up the next morning and blew her nose, nothing but black came out from all the soot  :D

WAAH :'(  I MISS THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS - I WANT THEM BACK................too much stress being a responsible adult!

Greg, what happened to our reunion?  Do you remember us all sitting in Sportsmans one night talking about how old we'll all be in the year 2000 (this being the mid 80's)?  We were like "Jeez, I'll be 40something, how ancient is that"! Here we all are well passed the sell by date and still going.............some stronger than others - Booker's take on ageing..........."it brings tears to my eyes each morning when I look in the mirror and see all the grey hairs" :D

Can't remember where we said we were all going to meet up - it was supposed to be somewhere in CT.  Allan Taylor, Ivan, etc. were all in on it.  When 2000 came around, I wondered where everybody was who'd agreed to reunite - would've helped if we'd remembered where tho  :D

Delia, Greg asked who the f*$k told you you're responsible?! And I want to know who told you you're an adult?!..hehe

Oh, we also want to know if your kitchen is ready for redecorating, Greg can feel a trifle coming on and Julie has band him from the kitchen.

Paula

ha ha Greg - you're so funny, and as for u Paula, "ek se niks"..........

Well greg, i can't exactly ban u from my kitchen seeing as tho i'm your partner in crime in that one  ;D  i'll stock up on the OB's and next time u guys are in town, we'll see if we haven't lost our touch - Julie, bring plenty of St Morand to keep yourself occupied while we're destroying the kitchen.

Howzit Dee, you're on....... lots of bottles of good red wine, my ciggies and some good music will keep me busy for days.

Not sure when we're planning to come over again but when we do, we must try and get the reunion together.  We spent Greg's 50th in CT in Feb, maybe we'll do the same for mine....... very, very long time to wait though  ;D lol

"St Morand", I'm assuming that was something I drank in those days? Cant remember it ???

Luv to the family
Julie

Greg - 50 - hadee ha ha - now who's laughing - then again, only got 7 years to go for mine so better not laugh too loud  :D so weird to think of us all in our 40's/50's - we were sprightly 20/30 somethings back in the days we talking about.

don't you remember our St Morand days - when i was staying with you guys, that's all you and i drank when it came to white wine - i can still see the label, had a saint on it.  it was a series of wine, can't remember what winery it was from but it was st this, st that - our saint of choice was St Morand.

doubt if i'll get over there soon as much as i'd luv to - not living in o'mund anymore where it was easy to save - we paid for practically nothing there - here in good old SA, you practically pay for the air you breathe (sure it's slotted into our tax somewhere).......so that reunion will have to be in CT - let me know when you're on your way.....would be so awesome.

Love to all over there too

i've just worked out what's missing - your beard and moustache........since posting my earlier reply, it's been bugging me - something's different, something's different - majorly - and it's just struck me - you're clean shaven..............in all the time i knew you, you always had a beard.

where's your Bok jersey??????????????

From Greg
That is a bok jersey
Agreed not the original but they do play in several colours depending on the opposition. Its dark green and has South Africa on the breast and across the back. The Beard went first in the 90's though for some reason i retained the mustache. I think if I am honest I ditched the tash in 1998 due to the amount of grey that was sprouting out my face let alone the rest of me.
Sad but true........looked like across between a policeman and a mexican gun runner for several years
