Talk about a major safety issue. An out of town truck from Windhoek, running bootleg Distill products, hit one of those overhead wires outside the old Bioscope, thereby pullling down the Street lamp with it.... then the wires, were hanging across the both directions of the streets, and some drivers almost "cut" into the wires..... Firstly, those overhead wires have been sagging lower and lower for years and nobody did anything about it....secondly, Namdeb Loss control were there in minutes....and the whole scene was cleared within 10 minutes....
We were lucky, this could have been more serious....
