At the Kimberley Club, celebrating Doreen Ferraris' 50th(ex Omunder) and then onto the Copper Bar.
I assume you are on about the RWC, some of us Orange people might refer to the BIG ONE as the CC final, op elke val, I'll watch the Big one at PAULS HOUSE-6-7th AVE OMUND...
;)
Natuurlik Mike, het g'n idee van enige ander games!! ;D
We ordered 4 x 30 lt barrels of WHK draught for his place on Saturday..... But you'll have to bring your own steaks....
heheheh, don't you wish you still lived here, Sigh! It's moelik living in Africa.... ;D
Ja maybe, but let me tell you the BEST steaks are this way. You might have the beer in NAM but we got the meat!
PS: when you are this way be sure to savour the biltong.
Just for your information, Mike........... We do get to buy Draught, Windhoek's and Tafel's down here. And, lucky girl that I am - the hubby is a farmer - sheep and cattle, so meat is no problem.
There's a moerse lekker kuiergat here in Olifantshoek called Wieks Pub & Grill. We are having a hell of a spit braai there, with the big screens already in place AND.......... as the rep's know we get thirsty around here, a promotion for Captain Morgan and Windhoek is also running on Saturday.
Well Stephen and I are going off to Richard and Debbie.May just raid his wine cellar, you should see it,got cobwebs and all.BUT no photo's this time, lets hope we can get Penny out of her postbox to join us.
I think life is better living in the platteland as in the cities, Country life is better, the people and the braai' s(kuier)...
Nothing beats a good spit also, don't get many of those in the city......
:o
We also cool and we braai and we kuier :-[ In Tab Le View
Yes Diana, but do you "spit" in Tab Le View????
Not in the gutter either..... ;D
They may do the odd "spit" now and then, but how do they "spit" without propper Kalahari rooihout? At a "spit" you must have a huuuuuuuuuuge bonfire, a cool pozzie to sit and "sip" and lekke pal's. Of the last two, being Oranjemunders, there can be no shortage of, but the rooihout........ that worries me!
Of course we spit, after a few glasses of wine.Richard actualy holds the record 16.7 meters down Malgas Road.We also do that thing where the beast turns round and round over a HUGE fire AND we have a Lapa to sit under. So There.Pity about that red wood though hard to come by down here.
All this talk of spit and braai is making me lus for n stukkie vleis, gee! and I was trying to watch my waistline, come to think of it, I have'nt seen my waistline for a while....
;)
Nothing wrong with a high protein diet.
Ok, Ladies, thanks for the Kalahari and Tableview Tales, but I'm off to dos , hoping I can dream about the Currie Cup...... (not the food version) :D GNite all....
