I always thought informal settlements just 'grew' on their own and that there is no planning on when or where  -  they sprout like mushrooms overnight in the most unexpected places ??  Now you guys are planning one ......   That is unconstitional and your are taking their rights from them  -  lot of control freaks !!!      BoomSmilie_anim

Diana, I got a few old planks and some sinkplate  -  I'll join you with my horses and we can become land barons and build ourselves a 3 room mansion !!

My fellow spoilt Oranjemunders....  I am not against people dwelling in shacks..... just because they live in shacks does not make them bad people or criminals..... sometimes this is the only shelter that they can afford.....

Shacks are not just an African invention, but can be found worldwide, where people are living in poverty......

I know that the future authorities of Oranjemund wish to discourage the building of an informal settlements, but I believe it will still happen..... the problem is the people are expecting to find jobs in Omund, which there is not..... they will need access to water and sanitation...... they will need feeding ..... this will place a financial burden on the local budget....

When people start to starve, they are forced to perform illegal acts to feed them and their families......
