TOPS was going to open unofficially on Friday the 29th July 2011.... but due to the fact that we are still waiting for about 30% of the stock to arrive from our Namibian suppliers.... we have decided to open on Monday rather......
The official knob opening will be at the end of August 2011....

Errr, ummmm.....OK jawelnofine. I hope Michele remains behind closed doors until the knob opening is over!
Heeheehee....
Please take cameras!
What actually happens at the knob opening in my opinion, is a complete waste of time... the knobby types come up from WHK and CPT and dress smart, stand at the door of the Tops and make as if they are your best friend for the day....... talk a lot of meaningless tosh..... I don't see the point of them being here..... would much rather host a takkie and jeans braai in the receiving yard of the shop for the workers who actually helped build the place.....
then that is just me, the same ok that traps around the spar in a pair of shorts and plakkies...
some people don't approve of that, but I am comfortable wearing that....
ThatStinks2 are-you-there

Now thats good thinking Batman.
Why have a braai... did the workers not get paid for what they did...?
My point is.... why waste dosh on a bunch of pretentious knobs that wanna be friends for a day, rather put the money into a braai for the real workers.....

I get what you saying Mike A and I do agree. I just want to respond to the comment and this is not aimed at Spar or you in anyway....Just my view in general.
Yes workers get paid for the job that they do. A job is a job is a job and one has to get paid for doing it. I think it is productive for the worker-bee to feel appreciated for the work put in. I have learnt that the ODD braai or Kentucky Box (whatever) goes a long way. Just my opinion. True one gets paid to do the job and yes nothing else needs to be given.....but its a nice thing to do. allgood 3d smiles(281)
Wish I got a Kentucky Box every time I completed a project at work... ThatStinks2
Okay ! allgood I know its a sort of a tradition to thanks workers after a lot of work by having a nice braai.... sorriso2
Hope these BIG KNOBS are going to be invited! You still owe me a bottle of Johnny so that can be the first sale!!!! I-T-O
