Here's something I have never seen in my 39 years in Oranjemund....
At about 14h30, I was walking down 7th avenue, towards the SPAR, when suddenly, the east wind stopped blowing, and just like that a cool wind hit from the west, I thought I spotted a bee, then perhaps two, suddenly, the entire street was filled with thousands of orange/Brown butterflies , shooting past with the cold wind, they came from the west and headed east, there must have been thousands of them, by the time I had dragged Michele out of the SPAR to have a look there numbers had dwindled , but they were still flying past the front of the store;;;;;

They are 'butter flies' - slippery, so it was a very smooth sail through security ..... rooster1
