Something different, Took Kelvin and Cameron down to see the start of the Diamond 300 Rally. The off road vehicles had just finished their procession through the middle of the town, led by the ever present Nampol traffic department..... At a rough guess, I would say about 12 "pyp" cars, 20 Odd motorbikes and about 10 Quad bikes..... looked impressive in such a small town...
Anyhow, the starting point was outside the Local mess, opposite the single quarters, the roads past the school, down to the MOTHS and then across the old mule derby track out into the desert to the HT lines that head to the mine , then head east through the sand belt, coming out behind the swartkops hill.... ending todays stages down at the Log Cabin..... think it's gonna be a rough nite our there...
I heard through the grapevine, that the local traffic officers will be out tonight, but will not intentionally be going out to nail the visitors..... party on and just drive straight home obeying the rules of the law and you will have no problem, drive like a scotsman heading to a freedrink then be prepared...

Must say that there was quite a nice crowd for a friday afternoon..... The police had the roads all blocked off.... the teachers came out of the school to watch....
