Thanks for the wishes!

Hate to tell you Claire but if you read the smallprint on the receipt you will see that they come with no guarantee!

I also think 9 years is good for this day and age, there are so many people these days that are getting divorced. Mike and I were together for 4 years before we got married and lived together for quite a bit of the four years which I think helps as at least you get to know all of their bad habits!

I agree - My parents weren't too happy about the whole liveing in sin before marrage, but it would be crazy not too.  I just kept him drunk until he married me so he wouldn't realize what a phyco i was - only joking.  Being married is great  :D ;D

I will advise my girls to rather live together first before getting married, at least if things don't work out they can just go their separate ways and not have to go through a messy divorce.

Being married is great, I think Mike and I are also a few of the lucky ones in that we can work together as well. Although we do end up discussing a lot of work at home as well!

Hi Mike & Michele - happy anniversary, here's to another 9+9+9+9+++++ years together.  You're passed the "7 sakke sout" as they say and with 9 being the most spiritual number (guess whose into numerology), you've reached a major milestone.

All the best to both of you - Mike, hope you're treating Michele to a fantabulous splash out dinner tonight with all the bells and whistles for keeping the home fires burning while you been putting this fantastic website together.

Cheers guys  :)

Sorry everyone but our anniversary is only on November 14 - I had to post a message when I added the event - only realized now that you all thought it was today. I think Mike has confused everyone with his calendar!

Thank-you anyway - will remember all the wishes next month! Delia - Mike will be in Kimberley this evening anyway so there would have been no fancy dinner with him. I do however get to spend to the evening with my folks and all the hobnobs as I've been invited to my dad's 25 year service awards!

According to the universe, you were obviously meant to be out on the town tonight either way.  Enjoy the hobnobbing  :)

So Mikes got you confused as well. I did wonder if the CHEETAH's were more important then your anniversary. ;D or what?

Hello all of you late night surfers! I've just come home from the 25 year awards and thought I'd see what you where all getting up to. Glad to see you're all keeping the postings going and that you seem to have managed to figure the calendar out!

The awards were, what can I say, a typical company function. Lots of people received awards - 62 in total. My dad opted for the watch for himself (Michel Herbelin nogal! - at least I'll inherit it one day) and a diamond for my mom (which has still to come), they also got a nice framed certificate.

I believe Mike arrived safely in Kimberley, I got a note on the table from my eldest to say that he'd phoned after I left.

Anyway, I'm heading off to bed now so goodnight - must say I'm looking forward to having the whole kingsize bed to myself!

By the time I actually got into bed I was so tired I fell asleep so quickly, only to be woken up about 1am by Cameron asking if she could sleep in Daddy's space! So much for me enjoying the bed to myself! MAYBE TONIGHT, MAYBE TOMORROW!

Hi everyone, thank-you for all of the kind wishes. To be honest Mike and I had both forgotten until my mom sent us an sms. I'll have to blame it on us being on the road!

Well, I guess here's to another 9 years seeing as no-one was interested in buying Mike when I tried to sell him!

Only joking - poor guy still had to make supper this evening for two hungry girls whilst I ducked off to Spar to sort out my desk.

Maybe next year one of you lot can offer your services as a babysitter instead of just saying congrats - just an idea!
