Will somebody out there please swallow their pride, find out where Oom Tinus is, give him a house, a bakkie, a lorry and twenty labourers and let him run our Parks and Gardens... I know there has been a water pressure problem, but Gee! everytime I drive into town and see all that grass turning into sand, I cringe, The grass islands that run down towards the Abattoir are not looking pretty at all, years of investment going down the tubes, our town is becoming a dustbowl....... We need a man Tinus, that can oversee the town's greenery ..... A man like Tinus, that was always overseeing , but still not afraid to muck in with the workers, you always saw this giant of a man working all over the town supervising the gang....
So please, before we reach the point of no return, somebody please call Oom Tinus.....
Next week, I will take a few snaps of where the grass is going..... It;s sad that people that profess to care for this town and believe in it's future, cannot see that our green grass is one of the town's biggest assets....
