Cleaners caught Mr Stewart simulating sex with a bike
A man caught trying to have sex with his bicycle has been sentenced to three years on probation.
Robert Stewart, 51, admitted a sexually aggravated breach of the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner and simulating sex.
Sheriff Colin Miller also placed Stewart on the Sex Offenders Register for three years.
Mr Stewart was caught in the act with his bicycle by cleaners in his bedroom at the Aberley House Hostel in Ayr.
Gail Davidson, prosecuting, told Ayr Sheriff Court: "They knocked on the door several times and there was no reply.
"They used a master key to unlock the door and they then observed the accused wearing only a white t-shirt, naked from the waist down.
"The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex."
Both cleaners, who were "extremely shocked", told the hostel manager who called police.
Sheriff Colin Miller told Stewart: "In almost four decades in the law I thought I had come across every perversion known to mankind, but this is a new one on me. I have never heard of a 'cycle-sexualist'." (http://www.freesmileys.org/emoticons/emoticon-object-086.gif)
Stewart had denied the offence, claiming it was caused by a misunderstanding after he had too much to drink.
The bachelor had been living in the hostel since October 2006 after moving from his council house in Girvan.
He now lives in Ayr. yellocard
This story looks like a hoax. If not, it means that the unfortunate bachelor had an incompetent lawyer. The case could still be blown apart on appeal.
The grounds are quite simple: privacy and custom. In the first instance the cleaners intruded on the man's privacy and are themselves open to censure for reacting as they did. The proper course for them would have been to apologize and withdraw.
As for custom, sex aids can be picked up at any adult shop. Would the same law apply to Scottish females caught with a vibrator in the privacy of their own bedroom? I think not.
@ Frank: I'm disgusted that you posted a picture of a sex aid on this family website. I feel the moderators fell down here in not deleting the picture.
@Bob: It is not a Raleigh either, so it hardly qualifies to be categorised as a sex aid!
Robert would that be an English Raleigh (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/62/Raleigh_heron_badge.png/160px-Raleigh_heron_badge.png) an Irish Raleigh(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/77/Irish_Raleigh_Heron_Badge.jpg/220px-Irish_Raleigh_Heron_Badge.jpg) or an American Raleigh(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/2f/Raleigh_head_badge.JPG/220px-Raleigh_head_badge.JPG).................. swink image04
ABABOP - A BIKE'S A BIKE OU PEL............
Well as there is a disturbing show of lack of intelligence, taste and sexual preference in his use of a gratification aid, he might have redeemed a minuscule of a minuscule of esteem had he used anything other than the USA trash.
However, in this morally devoid UK society, my fear is that he will now have started a craze. Who knows the bike shops might witness an increase in sales which might then spill over to the moped lovers then the Harley-Davidson fans. God forbid it reaches the fringe Penny-Farthing enthusiasts.

I don't know about that Ricky. Those bike fetishists can be very picky about which bicycle they use for physical pleasure.
I should have added that this fetish brings new meaning to the word '
bisexual'
I used to get a lot of pleasure from riding my bike in the back streets of 12th Avenue!

I always wondered why you rode so high.........!!?
Was that the bike that had the seat removed?
When I was younger every village had it's local "bike"
