This is a rumour, not sure if anyone can verify this as I heard it from a source in the Cape of all places....

Why the feck did tis dismantling of apprenticeship occur ?? In SA they set up SETA's ,, inefficient , not knowing whats going on ... the backbone of any economy is production output , to sustain it one needs technical skills .. 1 + 1 = 2 and they misss the plot , apprenticship programs have always worked so why tamper with somethjing that works ?? but then we now have learners and educators ,, it has not changed a thing , just trying to mask the bad odour of incompetence by renaming things ... everything the ANC has touched that works is now unworkable barring tax collection ...
That's great news. When did apprenticeship training stop in OMD? 1994 judging by the prizewinners' notice board. See I am on the board.
