A Leeds postman was putting the finishing touches to smoothing some cement when a neighbour's dog walked across it. The annoyed postman set about re-smoothing the cement when the dog did it again. This time, the man threw his trowel at the dog and then kicked it. Unfortunatley the kick landed on the wife of the dog's owner.
The incident was seen by another neighbour, who decided to call the police. She ran across to the local telephone box and had just dialled 999, when the furious dog owner's wife, who had also decided to call the police, pulled her out of the phone box. A scuffle ensued and both ladies fell into the cement.
At this point, the postman's mother-in-law decided to intervene and although she was 86, she joined the scrap in the cement, pulling the poor postmaster in with her.
Then the dogowner himself came out of his house to see what all the commotion was about. He too was pulled into the cement.
They were all arrested for breach of the peace - all that is apart from the dog who had started it all!
