It would appear that the little Kiosk down at the local petrol station got broken into sometime during the early hours of this morning.... seem's the criminals entered through the roof of the building....
this seems to be a common mode of breaking and entry in this country.....
Funny enough, we noticed two suspicious characters trawling Spar on Thursday.... the security guard noticed them immediately ...... just came in, looking at the "nothing".... then left....
Roll on proclamation.....

Hmmmm, why is this one a thumbs up???

I suppose burglar bars in the ceilings will be the next deterrent.
I know outside (the big world) there are tile removing sensors poeple put in there roofs inside the cieling space not a bad idea
I Vote "KEEP OUR TOWN CLOSED" PARTY
I agree with Alfred
I have further info stating the thief(s) took nothing as they were looking for something specific which was not there...
As a friend of mine in PE said when they stole his house numberr off the front gate:
"This is Africa"

Ja Mike, maybe its about time that petrol station gets a upgrade, those guys work long hours and look at that small, building where they are all sitting in,yeah maybe there is a link to those two guys we saw,one never know...... swink
maybe there will be a Shell Shop there some day.
maybe they thought they would get into the BOB machine safe.
hmmmm...... wonder if the alarm was set.. BoomSmilie_anim
The scary facts are that the town was proclaimed last year... (Is this true???) the authorities (MME & NDB) apparently hold the right, protected by the diamond areas act (or something like that) to restrict access to the town to permit holders only. The North Bank road is still a contentious issue which is yet to be resolved. There are also other infrastructural matters that are outstanding before the whole caboodle can be thrown to the wolves.
So there is still a wee bit of something to hang onto for a little longer...
Roof space passive IR motion sensors are a fave, (just deactivate before entering ceiling to check the geyser... your hearing may never be the same afterwards).
Mike A, where's your techno-gatchet-fundi friend, he'll rig you up with something innovative for your roof protection.
Andy, I already have an alarm in my house..... big siren in the roof next to one Geyser.... but the in laws still manage to sneak in....
swink
Andy D, guess who was stupid enough to let me have the code to his alarm............. image21
Andy D, guess who was stupid enough to let me marry his daughter............. swink
I hope my daughter is NOT reading this Mike A image21
Sorry guys it's all my fault

You see Alfie, it's all your bullying sessions whilst at CBC that caused all this
