Just had a phonecall from ex Oranjemunder, Alan Harvey, he was the shopping centre manager back in 1982. Anyhow, Alan was is trying to contact another ex Oranjemunder, Lionel ******* . Lionel was a carpenter with CDM back in the day and it would seem a pretty good one at that. Can anyone of you out there recall a carpenter by the name of Lionel and where he might be these days?
Sad to hear that Lionel passed on, due to a car accident....
Called Alan back, strange feeling sitting here at SPAR whilst Alan explained to me how Lionel was the person who built the stairs and upstairs office..... his work still visible....
Did you know that back in the day, the shopping centre had 188 employees......
