The recent widely reported allegation in the media regarding alleged a housebreaking in Oranjemund whereby it is alleged that police officers were involved, are unfounded and malicious allegations, which could only be described as aimed at destroying the integrity of the police and the sound relationship between the residents of Oranjemund and the police.
Therefore the person who started such malicious allegations/rumours, who incidentally is new in town, came forth and made statement to clear the allegations/malicious rumour and an apology.
Attached above, please see her statement/letter of apology made in the presence of the police.
Nampol (Oranjemund Police Station) hereby wants to reassure the residents of Oranjemund and all Namibian patriots that it will always stick to its mission and values of the Police Act.
Looks like freedom of speech has gone as well in good old Oranjemund. It might not be a proven fact but surely the lady is entitled to voice her opinion about who she saw on the given day. What a load of b-----ks!!!! Typical strong arm of the law abusing its powers. I mean come on, who dishes such hefty fines out for having (sometimes a much needed) pee down an alley.
How many police in town now? 60 odd. Blooming heck, I remember the days when we had one traffic cop in his white volla and two "proper coppers" from the SAP.
I wonder, is the lady in question sporting a black eye or a few bruises out of sight? ThatStinks2
