Piet Muller has a serious medical problem (heart) and is at this stage in the Oranjemund Private Hospital. Piet urgently needs intensive medical care, but he does not belong to a medical aid fund thus can he not afford the specialist care he needs. In an effort to help raise the funds to assist Piet Muller financially, myself (being Mike Ludeke) and Marie-Antoinette Grobbelaar( Dr. Grobbelaar’s wife) opened a bank account with Bank Windhoek - Oranjemund called: Oranjemund Mediese Bystand Fonds, Bank Code 481571 Account no. 8003323707 (savings account). The account will be managed by the two of us. We will be very thankful to anyone who wants to deposit some money into this account to help cover Piet’s medical expenses – any amount will be valued, it does not matter how small or big your contribution is. No cash withdrawals will be made or handed to individuals. Only banktransfers into doctor’s accounts will be allowed. Dr. Grobbelaar(Doppies) is busy with arrangments to transfer Piet to Cape Town.
UPDATE: Pete is in the Vincent Palotti hospital in the Cape, sources inform me that once again, the good community that is known as Oranjemund, raised in excess of $68 000 for Pete's admission and Op.......
At least there is one thing that still lives on in Omund......
