A good few years ago, well about 5 years ago, when my father , Jock was retired in his home to the east of town, we had the first ever "JOCKFEST" , in essence, we stuck a draught machine and a band into his braai room and let rip....... most of the folk that were in attendance are no longer living in Oranjemund..... a good memory.....
So good was this night, the music rocked, even had a guest appearance by the old Bedrocker Uncle Pete himself..... it was one of those unplanned, but memorable afternoon.... nights.... I off course awoke in the neighbours garden... with the bodies scattered around Jock's Castle.... when we wuz young!
Old Kommando HQ towards the west of town....
Now housing a number of private contractors.....
On the Badminton tour last year , heading towards Ceres, somewhere past Wolseley..... Lot of interesting Boer War history in this country that most folk just drive straight past.....
