Most interesting reading ,,  I seem to have an unusual metabolism,, I can eat anything  with no major effects excepting  I have to limit pork , duck , cooked cheese , they drain energy ,, I have during my cycling days kept to  Low GI brown rice oats etc , when I consumed the so  called carbo loader powders I would actually lose weight kind of like throwing more coal on the fire , I generally have a higher than normal body heat and at night can only describe myself as a good hot water bottle ,,
I have always had my bloods done  eating normally   er  uhm ,, normally meaning  last time  had lamb potjie for lunch , and lots of sweet  things afterwards , then go to  doc after work 5 PM  do the blood draws ,,   results .. sugar  normal and stable ,, liver function perfect ,, cholestrol sitting at 4  and the the bonus is  the good cholestrol is double what it should be ,,
I will however say one thing , i have  had this attraction to less carb , more protein and oily fish etc plus  veg ,, and find energy levels higher troughout the day ,,   again its  not a one size fits all ,. I repeat I can eat anything , diffs is the  energy levels ..
