Title: Orange River traversed
Post by: Bob Molloy on May 03, 2013, 05:50:57 AM
An intrepid trio of researchers last month ended a complete traverse of the Orange River (2,125km over 61 days) by kayak and had this pic taken on a sandbar at the mouth. The object was to wrap up the first full-length ecological survey of the river.
Google the following link for the picture and story.

I don't seem to be able to post live links. When I do so they simply transpose into an ordinary line of text. That's the case here.
The last line is the link. However, it still works if you copy and paste it into the Google search box.

Thanks Frank! Typical misty morning down at the mouth, good thing they landed on the SA side, as our local law enforcers do not take too kindly to folk having a few toots down at the beach these days....

Just an over zealous police force, although on the other hand when you see how today's folk cannot handle their tipple, it might not be such a bad thing...
