Michael while in Portugal last year and Spain if you hand over a high denomination bank note a Euro most of the establishments have electronic machines at their counters Supermarkets,Banks 'etc' which scans the notes to see if they are 'kosha' real.(http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/General/Pictures/1999/12/03/100euror.jpg) I remember before we went to America we bought American dollars through our bank and remember the $100 US dollar having some color in (as most people know their bank notes are green) we were in an eatery in Philadelphia ........... restaurant and they refused to take the note my brother and sister in law picked up the tab I took the note into an American bank and they OK it but I did not tell them and used it on an number of occasions. :nono1:
