Heads up locals, best you head on over the Local Council offices and do a bit of sightseeing of the property valuation roll.... your property value will be listed and this is what you would be expected to pay for your humble abode should it become up for sale.... if you wish to argue the price down for whatever reason, now is your chance, as the books close in 11 days time...
Roll Up! Roll Up!
23_146_26 i just came from the Council's office and got a glimpse at what i'm expected to pay... The land value is relatively cheap, no problems with that... my problem comes however for the value of the improvements, especially when i asked whether the council will issue a certificate stating that my electrical wiring are in order and that one of my neighbours won't share the electricity that I am buying.. the poor lady just shrugged her shoulders and said that the Council only owns the land, not the improvements and that they will probably not issue the said certificate BoomSmilie_anim does anyone out there have a more acceptable answer to this, AND are there anyone out there who is also thinking of buying property in town?
What is needed here, is proper communication from the mine, who own the actual (buildings/improvements).... the valuation roll is part of the procedure in getting the town to transform into a regular municipality.... however one gets the impression that people are getting mislead about this process......
I could not get a evaluation on my flat.
They say the land is one single erf and property on it is evaluated as one.

Well get the price for the block, buy the whole unit one day and you can either break down walls and build a mini mike mansion or become a slumlord...... :wow1:
