First time I have ever know about Rooikatte being in our back garden, but attached is a photo taken this past weekend of a Rooikat down at the Log Cabin.
I also heard a report of an anteater also doing the rounds down on the wetlands.....
Nice to know that our wildlife is thriving....
allgood
Are you sure the pics is of a Rooi Kat.
Looks more like a dog to me,
Check the ears, something not right.
Look at the roundness of the face....
Looks about right for a caracal
Its a ginger cat with pointy ears ........ drinking-41
Nope its defnitely a rooikat ......
Yip..... a Ginger Cat drinking-41
Are you looking through the glass or around it????
Meouw, meeoouuuuuuw

No Adriaan, I say tooooooo much rooi wyn..........!!!!!!!!!!
i tought i taw a puddy tat......
The lighter inside of the ears is clear if you compare it to Paul's pic... then again check this guy out... 11m up on a live 30kV line, 2007, about M30 area near Eastcliff Rd in the mine, that's about 10km away from the nearest place that would seem like "home" if it were tabby. When approached with a link stick it just ran down the pole and buggered off into the veld. Quite a chunky body to get up 11m unless a jackal has pump you full of adrenalin....
thats a flying fish Andrew it was looking to get smoked.....
