Title: Lizards in the Alley!
Post by: Michael Alexander on November 22, 2007, 05:36:33 PM
While I walked home through the alley this afternoon, I saw one of those gray lizards, a memory, I remember how as kids we used to try and catch those lizards, if you caught them by their tales, the tale would drop off in your hand....

But it was nice to still see them running along the cement base of the fence......

I remember seeing puff- and hornadders in the desert, That was creepy. My dad brought a cape cobra home from the mine one day to film it. That scared the sh*ts out of me.

georg snr I believe it is part of the defense mechanism - I only experienced this watching my cat hunt.

The cat would be distracted by the tail and the lizard always got away.
