Title: Local Water Quality!
Post by: Michael Alexander on March 09, 2015, 11:39:16 AM
We got the shock of our life when we switched on our new filter system for the ice machine at Spar...... if you pour a glass of tap water in town, the amount of water is usually too small to see anything, have a look at the below water filter that has been in use for the last three days.....

Makes one wonder what other "nutrients" we are getting in our drinking water....

Been crying about this for more than a year with now without anyone caring. Even on safety meeting on the mine. Home filters is not going to help if you don't buy the TOP-END one's. Most filters will block bacteria but NOT viruses!!!

Nothing blocks viruses except chlorine which I assume is already being added to the water.

Strong smell of chlorine in our water........

Read somewhere that elsewhere in the world, it turns out that the chlorine in the world's municipal waters might not be as healthy as we thought!

I remember the Coca Cola empire a few years ago selling a new named bottled "fresh" water. And where did they get the water from? straight from the tap, bottling it and selling it at a huge profit. This water was supposed to be the best of the best but from where do the other suppliers of bottled get their water from I wonder and how clean and healthy is it also..............??????????????

Makes one think.....................!!!!!!!!!!!!

So our water filters should be operational for 45-60 days before needing to be replaced....

Only 6 days into the running of the filters and the ice machine shut down due to the filters being blocked....

On closer inspection, the following was revealed.

Is this water safe to drink?

What happened to the high standards that we were once so proud of?

The council wants to install water meters soon , but what about the standard of the product that they are wanting to sell on to the residents?
