Post by: Michael Alexander on August 16, 2015, 02:41:47 PM
Found it very difficult to post this,

But sincere condolences to Sarel, Rohan and Chare' on the  tragic loss of their Oupa and mother.

The town is in mourning  on hearing this tragic news of the plane crash in the Cape this morning.

It is in time's like this, that one see's the support of a community like Oranjemund.....

Oom Gawie Le Roux was being medivac'd from Oranjemund at 04h00 this morning, Charmaine went with her dad..........

So sorry, have some fond memories of Oupa,Ouma and Charmaine on the Junior badminton tour to Cape Town a few years back!!!

Yes Malcolm - Gawie was the treatment plant foreman at no 4 plant. He then became the mines safety officer after Edgar Selby died { from a stroke }  .

I worked with him at 4 plant before I moved to Affenrucken. I lost touch after that.

He was a good guy.

This is just so tragic.  Sad days, I will keep the families in my heart and thoughts.  Dad remembers them well, and sends his regards and condolences.
