"THE Namibian Police are trying to make contact with 19 people who should testify in a continuing fraud trial in the Windhoek High Court in November.
The 19 witnesses are needed to give evidence in the trial of three people accused of having run a pyramid investment scheme at Oranjemund from 2004 to 2006.
All but one of the witnesses whom the police are trying to trace were residents of Oranjemund when they gave witness statements in the matter, which was registered with the police in 2009.
The witnesses are Johanna van Zyl (Burger), Kevin Bam, Martin James Niemand, Angela June D'Elboux, Quinton D'Elboux, Alene Tap, David Hendrik de Bruin, Peter Crawford Skinner, Helen Antoinette Burden, Anton Richard Burden, Anna Burger, Jonathan Neil Smith, Frederick Christoffel Rust, Abraham Fourie, Charlotte Magdalena Bews, Anna Maria Engelbrecht, Mitchell Guy, Phillipus Harold Schoeman, and Johanna Langner.
The witnesses themselves or anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts are asked to contact police inspector Boois at 081 233 8080 before 20 October."
