Micheal the photo's you requested
bravo
thanks Alfie, it looks a bit run down since I was last there.... 17 years ago......
i can recall going down there as an appie . once we were halfway through they switched off the lights, boy was it dark . i put my hand on my nose and couldnt see squat.
I remember being able to hear th ocean crashing on the rocks above your head and that constant dripping of sea water through the rockbed..... Loved it.... ( Thanks Colin Benton!)

Guys the tunnel is no longer in use they are keeping the seapage water out only, as soon as they have decided to close the tunnel i thinks they are going to pull the plug they are proberly going to remove all the rubish before they do that
an end of an era, one wonders how many tunnels there are under the atlantic ocean off the African coast?
idontknow
It was allan dellany that gave us permission to go down the tunnell.I remember the look on his face.He thought we were both mad.It was a bit scarry but at least we done it.Right to the very end as well.
See, Colin! ,my apprenticeship with you wasnae' a complete waste of time!
