I had to go for a blood test today at the hospital and had my camera with, here are a few snaps...
..... and...sorry for the blurred pictures, need to purchase a new camera..
Hi Michael.
As I see it's still the same hospital as in the 70s. Looks real old.
what tower is that on the first pioc? OPS?
That tower is the NG Kerk that stands directly opposite the main enterance to the school!
NG Kerk. What does NG stand for?
I remembver everybody making jokes about the Dutch re re re re reformed church. I also remember the building it and the women coming out on sunday with a giant hat on.
Neederduitse Gereevormde Kerk.....
I don't attend so, I cannot comment....
idontknow
The joking comment was that NG stood for Nog Geld due to the dominees constant reminders to his congregation to tithe the biblical 10 % of earnings ...
... and the hipocracy of it... going around to peoples homes asking for their 10%...... I don't go with, no offence to anyone ....
:emot111:
All looks much as I remember it,looking a bit run down though.
so mike did you pass the test
Yes Darryl, my blood is orange, I somehow knew somebody was gonna ask that question, just did'nt think it was gonna be you

Nothing exciting just a road taken from our house at E15/11,that would be E11/11 in the back ground. That block thingy with the fence around had a hooter on top.
that would be a sewage station, I think the hooter had something to do with safety, if the gas built up or something.....
I always thought it was the hooter, hooter the one tht went off at 7am 12noon and 4pm
I know on top of the power station was the main hooter, maybe there were smaller ones scattered around the town?
I remember when Chris Delaney got his tonsils taken out - and a few of us went to visit him. trying to sneak into the hospital past the nurses when it wasn't visiting hours - Nightmare :36_2_35:
