I remember the good parties at the Diving Club. (The Carribean Evening with a floating dance floor.) Anyone remember ????
Soccer club was a like bee hive of activities on a Saturday night. One would walk (ha,ha) from one club to the other............ ::) ;)
And working on a Saturday (slavery??) and getting one Saturday off a month.
Hey Susan - definitely, how could we forget those diving club caribean evenings? I remember at one of them I lost a contact lens at about 3am and there was Helen McCartney (remember her, hubby was Neville) and I crawling around next to the pool looking for it. We found it suprisingly enough all things considered!!! What an awesome feast they used to put on - fit for a king - the guys would go diving for weeks before that to stock up on the kreef, mussels, etc. Can you remember who used to do the music - I know at the soccer club it was always "Dancing Denz" - remember?
No, definately not, my brain wasnt functioning to well....
Ditto........ thanx for bringing back the memories.......good times, good times.
Hi Susan,
I remember it very well. You were staying at mine.
Dancing Denz?
Are you speaking about Denzil Weidemann?
Ha! Dancing Denz - I must remember that one when I see him again. :D
geez warren lets hope its not him , otherwise we are "the sons of dancing denz"
warren/darryl - that's your dad alright. will never forget "Dancing Denz" - can't remember who christened him with that name - but i remember why - he used to dance like crazy behind the dj box while doing the music at the soccer club. he really new how to get a party started and kept it going till the early hours.
A bit like disco dave ???
Well it does explain some of Darryl's behaviour at parties...
and your " dance" style
It seems the soccer club has always been a hive of activity from way back 1970. Nick Huntley (The Butcher) was the main person running it at the time. Was that not also where Vivienne sat on the sink and flooded the place? Sandy B?
We would all park our cars around the field on the weekends and watch soccer as if Man United was playing Chelsea.
