All,
An everlasting memory for me will always be Christmas at Oranjemund. Especially the party laid on for us kids at this time of year at the Rec Club. I always say a silent toast to those days and to all of you 'elder' Oranjemunders who were there to enjoy those funfilled sunny and very happy days as children.
I have been so pleased that during 2007 Mike Alexander created this wonderful site to allow me to interact with old friends from my years in Oranjemund and to meet some new ones.
To say that is has been such a privelege to meet up again with so many of you via this forum is putting it mildly. It has been a gas to read your recollections, see the photographs and enjoy the banter. Keep it coming.
I do hope you all will continue beyond 2007 to provide the support a forum like this needs. It is important for all of us to have a means to stay in touch and record the history of a very special oasis known as Oranjemeund. This forum does the job it is intended for. Well done Mike.
Merry Christmas!
Robert Bruce
Very true words Bruce.
I hope Michael keeps the show going for long....
Ditto that . . .
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my old friends, aquaintances and new ones . . .
