Several teachers have been mentioned on the board. Mrs. Coffin and Mr. Zandhuis for eg.
Especialy those having left om (or even SA) a long time ago may be particularly interested in this topic. There are several names I still remember and some of their faces and even the sound of some voices. My questions:
How long were teachers at OPS?
What subjects did they teach?
What did they do after OPS?
Just some of the names:
Mrs. Wilson. (Mrs. Coffins Sister)
Mrs. Ralph
Who did Woodwork with us?
Art lesons? I remember her face and voice...
KOOS WAS HERE
:emot98:
Fantastic Koos. What can I do for you?
Koos, broer, pls entertain us by something constructive....

Hi Michael.
I think Koos is being constructive. It reminds me of abstract art of the seventies and eighties. The artist only gives a slight hint of what he wants to say. At least you believe he wants to say something. You act on his impulse and start getting creative.
Isn't that contructive enough? This man must be way past our time. I think we have to catch up on him.....

George, I'm going to keel over with laughter should Koos now decide to reply on your offer of what you can do for him.
He must be a teacher of some kind, that's why he chose this topic. (A very lonely person out there who seeks true friendship in all earnest)

Very good Dalene.
Happy new year. Your holiday already over?
I remember a Mr. Visser doing Biology. Tried looking like Elvis with sideburns almost to his chin. His Lucky Strike fags looking out of his shirt pocket and telling us plenty of "bull sh*t stories". Robert Kermis would always read his homework from a blank page.... hahaha Sorry Robert. I know he always noticed. But nice try of you again, again, again...
Mrs. Solamon was the art teacher. I remeber her bringeng her son up on her own. In those days still rather unusual.
Remember her mixing starch for some projects and us kids wondering whether we could eat the stuff.
Lots of teachers can be found in the post "Players at Beauvallon-Oklahoma "
Look there an write Names to it

Under the other O.P.S. Topic some of us have posted the names of the teachers of our time
I received an e-mail from my Sub A teacher (1969), Leila Creedy (Austen), yesterday. Got quite emotional when I read it. Can't believe she remembered me.
Thanks Diana. So many topics to catch up on.
Florrie, was that connection made through the site?
Thats great Florrie,I remember her as well, although she didn't teach me. Married John Creedy if I remember correctly
@ Dianne, yes, she is married to John Creedy
@ Mike, yes, she got my details from this site
Was Patricia Creedy associated in some way, I think she have have been his sister, she was my age and went to WGHS.
Could very well have been Barbs,as I'm sure there was only ever one Creedy family in O'mund
