It was in the year book because even he claims he is a recycled teenager! :emot19:
As kids we never told him were the parties were or we would end up having to dance with him the whole night. He's cooling down a bit now, he still sings in the pub in the UK when ever the song "Oh Lord it's Hard To Be Humble" comes on. Dad was always great entertainment at home and when out on the town.
LOve him to death! :emot98:
Is he still carrying a gun around like a cowboy?
You should buy him a beach buggy!
e180
shooter
come to think of it, I think he got rid of all his guns and reloading stuff and rambo knives and that stuff when they when back to the UK.
Dad doesn't even drive now, he has a car but it just sits there, he loves riding round on the busses because then he gets to relax and look at the sights as he tours around.
has he got his bus pass, you get free bus travel when you hit 60.
Ahem! You get free Bus travel in Oranjemund when you turn 1!
bravo

On behalf of Aunty Julie!
"For those of you that have not seen my dad in a while, here he is with mom. Their first summer in the UK"
I see Benny still has the hat or is it a new one.
I noticed the Sainsbury wood, what happened to the Kameeldoringhout?
kameeldoringhout, yea how I miss that. Mike put your glasses on that is instant lighting charcoal - quite useable but definitely not wood.
It's better than gas barbeque - actually I did find burning wood at B&Q last summer, but even that is a poor substitute to kameeldoring or even rooi kranz, oh well, a real braai is a poorly understood art in this old land.
..... and let us not forget the famous Dabera wood.......
@ Diana, Yep the same old hat, in summer he wears it all the time with a t-shirt that says:
God made the world and on the eighth day he made BEER
@ Mike, thanks for posting the pic. No decent wood to be found on this little island, might be a good idea to look into importing from SA for all the 300 000 + South Africans living here.
@ Paula, put a bag in with your things you'll be shipping over and be nice to Mike, he helped me with the pic. When next you see him bighug ok?

Ja Julie, that pic of mom, I wasn't expecting to see that, you made me cry so you better put a tick against your name on our sad chart!
:emot78: but I'z ok now! :sorriso2:
There's a sad chart?
bighug
Yes, us girls started this chart when we were all in tears the whole time with my mom, so we started a chart and who ever said something that made the others cry they got a tick and we would see who was the one making everyone cry.
It was something we did to get us smiling again, shame poor Greg (Julie's husband) had his hands full with us three girls taking turnes crying.
You don't have to say it Mike, iknow ,we are not normal! LOL
Hay doll, what's normal, an't ever been normal, not going to start now
