Hey Mike. You seam real hurt about that. You shouldn't start posting this everywhere. It only makes you think of it all the time.
I got help by using only one topic about my addiction. I feel a lot better now.
My fingernails are growing again. I've quit drinking coffee. And I'm even starting to remember the first letter of my kids names.

Hi Folks,

What can I say - but the show was brilliant, well organised and relaxing.

The old man still is in top form, he rocked from 1950 to 2030 - most of the crowd were 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s babies.
It was brilliant, I believe more shows are coming to Newlands cricket ground because it is their centenary year.

Lets hope some more of the good old rockers come.

Made it home by 2330.

Go rockers!!

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard ~

Agreed! (Got back to good old Oranjemund about an hour ago).

As you say, it was very relaxing, the man's voice was in good nick and the vibe was just so enjoyable.  The other interesting aspect was the fact that the show started about 10 minutes earlier than advertised.  I initially wondered why and then realised what a great ploy it was to get "bums into seats".

I must confess, however, that I was also originally going to Warren's braai but heard that Mike had gout so went to Elton instead... so glad I did.   Warren's braai just wouldn't have been the same without our local Runrig clone!

Right now I'm feeling a bit rocked out having really gone really beserk with concerts over the past 12 months so hope the next attraction at Newlands isn't too soon!
