okay, I think I got my bearings, looking up 7th -  over at the post office /hair dressers/butchery.  I see lights behind that building which would be the tennis courts, ja.

I think I remember that door being put in, (prior there was only one entrance), it was in this location that the window for tatti shopping was situated prior to changes.

What's with the burger van, and how many bakkies ?

Bakkies are a rare site in the UK, especially one's without enclosed backs, health and safety - you know.

Oh, yes one more question, the house on the corner, looks like something official, could you tell me what it's used for ?  I'm sure it was a residence before.

Ok... The Hamburger cart, is the WAKA Mobile, cell phone shop in a trailer....

The official looking building, was the GM's office way back in the 60's and 70's  and is now the Jasper house Museum...

THe enterance to Spar was put in at about 1978.. I think.... and if you look at the wall below where the snap was taken from, you can still see the outline under the paint of the serving hatch for the tatties....

Tennis courts and Bowling green lights in the distance

It's amazing how high the palmtrees are. I'm sure they're the one from the 70s.
I think there used to be one or two of the former "mining tanks" up front. We used to climb in and out of them...

Hi Barbara, the shopping centre is divided into SPAR, WOOLWORTHS ( at the old main enterance) and BANK WINDHOEK ( Next to SPar's  entrance....

Those Palm tree's are Blerrie High... and dangerous when the wind pumps.... pieces of Palm tree's everywhere...
