I think Barbara mentioned the rocking horse, well the only one that I know that is still around is this old one in the 5th ave park, I also included the roundabout, did'nt we have fun of that as kids...... still looking for a witches hat....
Lets see if I get this right now.
Myself and my younger sister on the rocking horse in the "Zoo Park" we were talking about.
Well done, you see all that drinking you did on the weekend had no affect on your brain's ability to handle photo resizing......
Thank you Mike, I am glad to see the grass not growing around the roundabout - indicating that many feet thump round pushing the thing,
pity it's not painted and colorful as in my day.
Did you all also get the smaller kids to run and push ?
I was a master pusher, people would fly off when I pushed.........
and now, ? :emot19: it's more like e180
:emot19: More like a Plump Pusher......
Mike, we learned to hold on tight with both hands when you were on pushing duty!!!
Those playthings in the park has each made their contribution to the collection of scars (some still visible) and bruises over the years when we used them to their full potential and even further. I remember one time when we rode the rocking horse so hard, the connection at the back actually came loose or broke off and there stood the horse - back end in the air. We were so glad to see that it was fixed after a few days. Also used to pull myself up on that roudabout - swing, then hook my legs through the rings and then some of the other kids would pull it at a helluva speed. I would go flying through the air, arms outstretched, and enjoying the fact that I did'nt have to do the "work".
On the ordinary swings we also used to have some sort of competition to see who could go the highest and then jump off.
The fact that we are still alive today after some of the stunts we pulled, is a pure miracle.
How much "treasure" could you find between the wooden slats on the Roundabout?
is that the same horse ride!!!!!!! amazing hey...........can anyone remember the little park somehwere near the GM's house..............ive looked on google but cant see it........ :looser1:
Don't think its the same horse, his left ear isn't chipped and the handle was different (two things that came out each side of his head) Sh*t I'm good hey :sorriso2:
