Hi Mike........not very much at the moment............i call anything before 2 am an early night.....but these last few weeks ive not been sleeping...so rather than go to bed.........well here i am i was here till 6am this morning.....or yesterday morning......ha ha and at work till 8 hours
You wanna try resizing pictures? Do you have XP?
yes i have xp......my photos are in adobe photo shop....amongst other places.....dont ask me where........and i downloaded....irfan.......but not sure what it is

download the file....then get back to me..... be sure to know where it is saving to on your pc, ie...the desktop....

:emot19: when you click on the link above, do not left click it, but right click it and choose the option that says "Save Link As!"
A box will open make sure the location on the top of the box says DESKTOP and then just click save.....

Did you double click on the file on your desktop to install it?

just remembered....i clicked something saying install on desk top
for all the mike....the answer is Yes i did ........ha ha
On your desktop should be a little computer with the name ImageResizerPowertoySetup .... double click on it.....
do i just let it install.....like i did do....or should i have selected something on the way.........
:36_2_35: I'm hoping it's installed.... you can check this by clicking the start button on your desktop... the big green one in the bottom left corner....Goto ALL Programs and look if there is a program called POWERTOYS FOR WINDOWS XP

In reply to your post you just agree with everything it wants to do.... just do the above instruction to see if it's installed...

Nope, thats perfect...it's installed, now go to your photographs on your pc, right click on anyone and click COPY...then goto your desktop and right click anywhere on the desktop and click paste....(It does'nt matter what pic)

come back as file is too large mike....yet as i did it it even said on the photo....small cat.....ha ha idontknow
Bev, before you attaach and post your pic, you must right click on the image, look for the "RESIZE PICTURES" and click on that.... A box will open , choose the small option and press OK... a new image will turn up with the name followed by brackets (SMALL) that image is small enought to post on the forum....
Mike that is exactly what i did ....the small box was already ticked........it wouldnt let me post it saying file was too large....ive just looked in properties of the resized pic........the one that now says small.....and they are the same as the were before....650
IS that 650 kb ?
I increased the picture limit to 1000kb...try it again...

Well that's a start, well done, I think you must do a bit more research into Georg's software, as the one I use is limited to three sizes only, Georg's program is more professional..... I must go to bed now, as my medication has kicked in and i should be able to sleep....... talk later......

I only changed the settings now to accommodate you, but ideally you should be resizing those pics down to less than 150 kb....... enjoy posting more pics...

sorry i dissapeared...but i got looking for photos, mike ive got a lot of slides i need to get onto a disk...i did get some of them done....and i think sandy sent you a couple of them.......must find them out and get them on now....

ive just been on face book.....i was looking through all the people who had contacted me.....well clicked on me to say they "liked"me.......and a man there id not seen his name before........its KOOS...........i dont know if its the same one....but this guy is about 60 with grey hair......a beard.......and a black hat............is this you "our" Koos.......... idontknow
