I seem to recall that the ovambo's had their own "Mule Derby" type event back in the day. The different hostels got together. I don't know..just something that comes to mind now.

No Mike I remember there used to be a section on the western side allocated for them between the betting kiosks and the mortuary they used to put up those stands that they used at the main pool for the gala events

We were dropping wee Kelvin off at creche on MOnday morning, as Michele went in, I sat there staring at the dragon , fading away in the early morning desert sun, a cool westerly salty wind blowing through the old fairground attractions.... I thought to myself.... what a waste, what a time, what an era..... gone to pot!!!!! :nono1:
And all the buildings and equipment just left to rot, what a shame.............!!!!!!!!!!!
