Hi Georg - the blonde girl (black cossie) looks like Marsha Groenewald and the other (green cossie) could be one of the Rall girls?

Is that the high diving board? I thought is was much higher than that. Maybe because I was a lot smaller then.

Same thing here.  According to my memory that diving board should be at least 3m high ( -  the times when I tried to do my best swallow-dive that ended up in the best belly slap and left me without breath for about 2 minutes makes me want to state that hight as a fact).

I remember everybody enjoying that diving board.Something that has always stayed with me was how whenever Kiki (some of you will remember her)was at the pool the whole single quarters new. They would all hang over the wall to watch as her boobs bounced when going off that board.Hell that girl did have boobs and a half. I never did use the boards, was always a woos and to poop scared.

I remember the whole croud jumping simultaniously making "bombs" so that you felt the people would be empty soon.

We would line up 5 in a row.... and all jump within seconds of each other, sometimes ontop of each othe, as the water shot up into the air you would be sitting in the air on the spout....  cookin

Yepp!
Remember playing "catching"?
Running around the pool not allowed to cut corners? passing the corner meant jumping in ands out of the water.... Or swim for your life. Loved that game. All ages joined.

ha!ha!ha!ha! you know we all did at one time or another..........bloody sore sting off it as well as your arse and thigh conected with wet concrete 'ouch!!!' Off to the cafe then in your swim gear for a hot pie or a bag of goodies; shivering as you waited impatiently to be served, hair dripping on the ground, teeth chattering and a nice bruise starting to appear...........

The pool in  the deep end was deeper in the old days.... the pool was refurbished in the late 70's/ early 80's and all the big tree's around were removed as their roots had damaged the pool, the width of the pool was decreased ever so slightly and those gutters around the inside edge of the pool removed in favour of the more dangerous metal handrail.... the deep end is meant to be 8 foot... in the old days..... there used to be 8 rungs on the ladder in the deep end... now there's only 5..... the divers still practice in this pool as it is still deep enough.....
