Well, I was'nt there, but the mine held a residents meeting at the school hall last night, place was packed to the max.... it seems a lot was discussed, what I hear from those that were there, is that everybody will be paying for power by November the 1st..... A new proclaimed tar road will be built going through the desert joining us with Rosh Pinah, Kudu Gas power station is back on.... N$ 200 million was allocated to the complete demolish and removal of Oranjemund once the diamonds were finished, this has been scrapped and the town will remain, houses will not be sold of until mining is completed, the majority voted against allowing an informal settlement to being established in Omund....and the nature conservation that is the Sperrgebiedt will be proclaimed as proper game reserve..... , to name just a bit what I heard.... which in my opinion just adds more confusion to the plot, that is Oranjemund.. (this is why I do not attend these meetings..... just give me the facts in writing, and tell me...this is what we are gonna do.....)

This must be very unsettling for those still living there. Maybe you should all look for jobs in Lime Acres, not far from Kimberley and we can have the reunion on our farm.
